Serene Koan has traveled the world extensively, meeting amazing people, experiencing exotic adventures and uncovering eye-opening facts and spiritual truths. During this time he lived in six Asian countries as well as eight European countries. Most recently he has lived in the US for 35 years, including 21 years in Maui, Hawaii.
He has spent lengthy periods of time in the presence of various teachers such as J. Krishnamurti, Nisargadatta Maharaj, Osho Rajneesh, Gangaji, Paul Lowe, Baba Ram Dass (Richard Alpert) and Punjaji, among many others.
